Should Pewaukee school district have school all year?

Authors note: I think Pewaukee school district should have school all year round and in this essay you will see why.

Dear Superintendent,

Many people would say “I hate school, there is too much homework and I would rather be hanging out with my friends then learning useless things.”  But the truth is if we had school all year round it shouldn’t mean more homework.  It should mean that you would be able to have more chances to learn and have fun with education.  I get it; to have a school all year round isn’t something a student thinks about but it could really give you a chance in the future to get your dream job and have great friends once you are older.

Getting time off to spend with your family and friends always has been and will be a concern to many students. Therefore I think we should be able to have one or two weeks off for holidays.  Furthermore this should help the students because it will then help everyone focus and not get sick of school and not want to learn anymore.  Having breaks are always good but we have to make sure we don’t get to much time apart clearly then it would be just like summer and we don’t remember a lot of the material.

In addition to having more breaks we could learn so much more with going all year-round.   I am not saying we should really buckle down and only work on school work, but I really think there is so much to learn.  If we forget all that we learned then what was the point in learning it the year before when we are just going to go over it the next year.  Education can really further you in your life and career as an adult.

Having a lot of education can really get you a fantastic job.  Getting your dream job because of your education from the school you went to must be the greatest feeling in the world.  I really think Pewaukee can help you get that job by going to school all year.  You never know what you can accomplish with the power of education.

Year-round schools can really make or break a student.  But they can really help you in getting your dream job and keeping a great social life.  To have friends can be one of the most important things in a student’s life but I’m pretty sure knowledge always takes the cake.
