In the book Stolen Day by Sherwood Anderson a little boy thought he had a disease called Inflammatory Rheumatism. Many Imagine what would happen to there lives if they had a disease. You never know what it is like until you have lived the life yourself. When you have a disease the pain never goes away, it feels like a clock always going around Tick Tock Tick Tock. Time is such a precious thing you can never know what will happen next.
Time was not on our side when my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. A few years ago my dad fell at work and hurt his back. He slipped on ice a broke a bone in his back; the doctor said he would be needing surgery. I will always remember that day when my dad limped into the hospital just before his surgery. That day I told my dad to say one of his famous sayings and then I would know he would be alright. The surgery that my dad had, had triggered his MS. My life is very complicated and know I know that life is not meant to be taken advantage.
MS is about as funny as watching paint dry. But yet when the kid in the story thought he had Inflammatory Rheumatism his family just laughed. I think the main reason the main character thought he had the disease was because the day before he had been racing his brother Irve and he pulled a muscle. The mother had gone about the situation the wrong way she should have taken a look at his leg or examined him before making any conclusions. School is a hard thing to deal but you should never fake an illness because you could get someone seriously concerned for your health.
In order to be rewarded in life, you have to face the hard times. People don’t realize that hard work pays off with great rewards. But the option of laziness gets in the way of the determined thinking. You have to decide whether you are going to be a hard worker with a good determination or a couch potato with no hope. If you fake a disease and skip school then you will end up being a couch potato.
